Incorporated in 2003, Yahouse is revolutionizing home entertainment. The Yahouse system enables sophisticated consumers to benefit from digital media convergence, by combining storage, management and playback of content from a central server.
Yahouse has developed patent-pending technologies that make the system unique. History The adventure began when three friends Olivier, Jerome and Yann began spending nights and weekends creating a system that would distribute music and movies everywhere into Yann's San Diego house. The result surpassed their expectations and, encouraged by enthousiastic guests and friends, they decided to create Yahouse LLC to share their passion with other audio/video enthusiastics. Investors Yahouse is a privately held company headquartered in San Diego, California. The first round of funding, by a private group of investors has been successfully completed. Management Team Yann Festal, President A wireless industry entrepreneur for more than 10 years, Yann created Arguin Communications Inc. in 1999 to develop GSM/UMTS/WIFI protocol stacks. In 2004, Arguin was acquired by wireless module leader Wavecom S.A (Nasdaq: WVCM). Yann was graduated from the University of Paris XI in 1989 with a MS degree in Science and Information Technology. Jerome Poichet, Vice President, Technology Prior to founding Yahouse, Mr. Poichet worked for Arguin Communications, Inc., where he successfully developed a dual Operating System technology for wireless PDAs. He also led the GSM/GPRS integration team for more than a year. Jerome started his career working on a home automation project where he became a UPnP expert. Jerome holds a degree from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications de Bretagne, one of the France's most prestigious engineering schools. Herve Gagnard, VP Business Development Prior to joining Yahouse, Mr. Gagnard was Wavecom's Group VP Corporate Development, Marketing and Communications. From 1994, until the end of 1996, Herve was the head of product marketing at TDR (group Vivendi Universal), a paging services company. From 1991 to 1993, he was business development manager at Motorola Codex. Herve has an engineering a degree from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts et Metiers. Jim Brooks, Vice President, Sales Mr. Brooks has spent the last 10 years serving in sales leadership roles in the transaction processing industry. As VP of Sales with Vital Merchant Services, Mr. Brooks oversaw the channel distribution of point of sale products, successfully guiding the company's revenue and market share growth. Jim attented the University of California, San Diego where he studied engineering. |
